Linda Lincoln BA DipEurHum
From the age of five I was always designing and making clothes for my dolls and toys as well as painting and drawing as much as possible. When it came to leaving school my only ambition was to go to Art College, but fate decided otherwise and I left school at 15 with one exam pass -art – to start work in an office.
After marrying a soldier, bringing up two children and doing a lot of travelling I took up art again and have never looked back since.
During those years I also read Art History with the Open University as well as taking a Diploma in European Humanities, majoring in French. Now I find that painting takes up most of my time. I try all media and love to experiment. Each painting is a voyage of discovery and I am never quite sure where the journey will end. I find Picasso the most inspiring of artists of the past, as he was never afraid to try something new, and worked through a host of media from lithography to ceramics, always developing and improving.
